Who We Are

United Hands and our Congressional award-winning food giveaway effort in response to the 2020 COVID pandemic has fed and supplied tens of thousands of needy families with fresh vegetables, fruit, dairy, meats and hot meals for the past two years.

 Now a community mainstay, United Hands stepped forward to meet the challenge of improving lives, inspiring hope and overcoming persistent poverty by assuring basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter become a reality for the City of Compton, Watts and surrounding unincorporated Los Angeles.

What We Do

— We Find

United Hands seeks out food suppliers and works in partnership with multiple organizations share our food mission to reduce food insecurity.

— We Transport

United Hands transports tons of donated food from food banks, suppliers and growers from across Southern California in our popular and well-recognized commercial truck.

03.

— We Assemble

United Hands and its team of volunteers unloads, checks for freshness and assembles thousands of bags, boxes and crates of food at a rapid rate.

— We Distribute

United Hands distributes fresh meats, fruit and vegetables to long lines of cars and pedestrians, homeless encampments and mobile homes.

— We Feed

United Hands distributes fresh meats, fruit and vegetables to long lines of cars and pedestrians, homeless encampments and mobile homes.

06.

— We Enrich

We enrich the lives of the residents of the City of Compton by reducing food, clothing housing and other economic insecurities.
